YPN wrapped up the year on an excellent note with an outstanding event at the Marathon Grill last night. Tom Muldoon, President of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau addressed the group. Mr. Muldoon was very candid about the current challenges he faces with the Convention Center expansion project and shared valuable insight about his vision for the future.
The YPN Toy Drive was a huge success! YPN members really stepped up to the plate and provided some awesome gifts. The students at the McClure Elementary School will be pleasantly surprised by your generosity. Thank you very much YPN members….HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Once again, YPN selected a new and hip venue for it’s networking event. The new Marathon Grill on 10th and Walnut is awesome and so different than any of the other locations. There was a great buzz going on with lots of new and current members networking. Attendees also had a chance to speak with Tom Muldoon during the event. Lots of questions about the convention expansion. I was especially surprised to learn that no plans are in place to add more parking to accomodate increased cars to the area. I always appreciate the insight I get when attending YPN events. Consistent with YPN’s logo, gaining knowledge building relationships, that was the case last night at Marathon Grill!
Just for the record, I found the most adorable toy store around the corner from Marathon, Happily Ever After at 1010 Pine Street. I picked up Operation (one of the best board games!) and brought it over to the event. I was so happy to see the majority of our memebers remembering to bring gifts, excellent job everybody!
Best holiday wishes to all of our members; can’t wait to see everyone at Tangerine in January – don’t miss it!
