Spend the day volunteering at McClure Elementary School as a part of Philadelphia Cares Day! Join more than 12,000 dedicated volunteers who share your commitment to education and who want to roll-up their sleeves to show our public school children how much they care.

Greater Philadelphia Cares supports the creation of vibrant communities by motivating people to volunteer their time, talents, and resources. They provide a clear path to service for all, enhancing the impact of non-profit agencies throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

Volunteers will be assigned to different tasks that will make the places where children learn more beautiful:

· Paint and clean up the teachers lounge

· Paint an indoor mural designed by McClure art teachers

· Clean the playground and paint lines and numbers

· Paint and clean two classrooms

· Finishing painting decorations in the lunch room

· Clean the fire towers

Volunteers should arrive at McClure Elementary School at 9:30a.m.

9:30 – 10:00 a.m.: Breakfast and orientation

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Teams work on assigned tasks

At the end of the day, volunteers are welcome to gather for lunch at a location in Center City that will be announced soon (lunch will not be provided by YPN or McClure).
