Who would have ever thought that wearing a suit and tie, dress and stockings, paired with your finest pair of sneakers would be appropriate? Well that is exactly what our YPN volunteers did at the annual Back on My Feet (BOMF) Fundraising Gala that took place at the Marriot in Center City on Thursday, November 11.   YPN Volunteers strutted their finest pair of kicks while welcoming guests to the event, managing the registration desk, assisting in the silent auction, and passing out goodie bags to all the attendees.

This was the first time that YPN members partnered and volunteered with BOMF. This was also the first time that BOMF welcomed over four-hundred and fifty participants with a whopping ninety thousand dollars raised!  The event was a success for all, in which the founder of Back on My Feet, Anne Mahlum spoke about her inspirational story, the birth of BOMF and the hundreds of lives this organization, has touched in its three year existence.  The night was followed by dinner, dancing and a fantastic silent auction with prizes such as four round trip airline tickets anywhere in the continental US and an all inclusive vacation package to the Bahamas for four.

YPN volunteers had a great time supporting this wonderful nonprofit and walked a way with a sense of inspiration and admiration for this organization. YPN looks forward to supporting BOMF at future gala events, especially when you can dress up and show off your nicest pair of sneaks!
