YPC Networking at REC Philly

Tuesday, February 25, 2020

On Tuesday, February 25, the Young Professionals Council (YPC) explored the Fashion District, specifically REC Philly, for an evening of networking. REC Philly is the perfect home for creators, where creative mindsets can find all of the tools, equipment, and space that they need to be successful. Located in the Fashion District at 9th and Market Streets, REC Philly features studios for recording, podcasts, design, photo/video, and dance, editing suites, meditation rooms, and the main attraction, a 10,000-square-foot creative space affectionately known as the REC Room, which hosts concerts, assemblies, discussions, and took center stage for our YPC networking event.

Attendees had the opportunity to hear from REC Philly’s co-founders Dave Silver (Chief Executive Officer) and Will Toms (Chief Creative Officer) about the space, the idea, and the goals they have for REC Philly. Dave and Will have such a passion for helping aspiring creatives in the Philadelphia area that they built this space to provide equipment and education to foster a collaborative environment for Philadelphia area freelancers.

Our sold-out networking night included tours of the space, bar service, and a delicious spread of appetizers. The open environment and collaborative spirit of REC Philly was the perfect combination for a night of catching up with old friends and making new connections.
