By YPC Staff:
Congratulations to all those in the Young Professionals Council for all your successes in 2022! We are so proud to have been a part of your journey and to have had the opportunity to get to know so many wonderful and talented young professionals. In 2022, YPC welcomed 403 individuals to its network, representing over 220 unique companies and industries in the Philadelphia region. It is incredible to see so many emerging leaders not only come together and build both a professional and peer network but to take complete ownership of their professional development.
YPC continues to deliver consistent programming through its networking events, professional development seminars, Meet the C-Suite series, and community-oriented activities. Though some programs continued online this past year, this group was still able to gather at six unique locations in the Philadelphia region, including World Café Live, Wells Fargo Center, Live! Casino and Hotel, REC Philly, and Yards Brewing Company. We look forward to meeting more often in person in 2023 – the first opportunity being our professional development seminar on February 22nd, an in-person workshop with Ellen Valudes, Vice President & Trainer at Dale Carnegie, on Making the Most Out of Networking.
Standout moments from this year include hearing from Al Schmidt, President & CEO of the Committee of Seventy and now appointed Secretary of the Commonwealth, on what it’s like to work in civic engagement in the city of Philadelphia. Will Toms, Chief Creative Officer, REC Philly, and Forbes 30 Under 30 Honoree, shared his tested-and-applied advice on how our members can build upon and monetize their passions. More recently, Kim Gaber, Leadership Coach at Vanguard, taught us the best ways to enhance the self-assessment process and incorporate feedback into your workflow.
Finally, we share the best part about 2022: meeting you. From the many insightful observations and articles written by YPC’s members to hearing the poignant questions the region’s young people are curious about, we are honored and privileged to have a small hand aiding in your current and future achievements. As we look ahead to 2023, we hope you will continue utilizing YPC as a career development and growth resource.
YPC’s mission to foster ambition and build community among young professionals is more critical than ever. We are confident that with your guidance and dedication, the future of Greater Philadelphia is in good hands. Thank you for being part of the YPC community; we hope to continue working with you in 2023.
If you want to continue your professional development and growth in 2023, YPC is a great place to start. There are plenty of opportunities to learn, network, and grow in the upcoming year. For more information, visit ypcphl.com or reach out to Ileana Fortuño at ifortuno@chamberphl.com.
